Your Role as a Respiratory Therapist: - Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, pneumonia, COPD, and more.
- Administer Respiratory Therapy: Deliver treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilation, and chest physiotherapy to patients of all ages.
- Monitor and Assess Respiratory Function: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance on respiratory care, managing chronic conditions, and the importance of medication adherence for ongoing care.
What You'll Need to Be Successful: - Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification required
- New grads are encouraged to apply!
- Previous experience in respiratory therapy preferred, but not required
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adjust care plans based on patient needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations in a fast-paced hospital or clinic setting
