Greet patients with professionalism and compassion, creating a welcoming environment.
Assist with patient check-in, utilizing self-service kiosks or handheld tablets as needed.
Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures following established practices and protocols.
Maintain the integrity of the waiting area, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Provide support to staff by helping with breaks and covering staffing shortages in the lobby or draw room.
Accurately document patient information and maintain required records and documentation.
Demonstrate high levels of customer service and sensitivity to patient needs and confidentiality.
Ensure all safety and infection control procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment.
Required Skills
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patients with care and compassion.
Strong communication skills to explain procedures and calm patient concerns.
Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding to accurately record patient information.
Ability to perform venipuncture and specimen processing accurately and confidently.
Additional Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience, such as retail or healthcare roles.
Phlebotomy experience is required, including internships or externships.
Reliable transportation to and from the worksite; candidates should ensure their commute time is within 20-25 minutes.
Availability to work scheduled shifts, arrive on time, and stay for the entire shift; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may lead to termination.
Schedule flexibility to cover breaks and staffing needs as required.
